Route 422 divides Solon into North Solon and South Solon.
North Solon area has:
- South Chagrin Reservation but its outside the limits of City of Solon in Bentleyville.

- Probably less traffic volume.

South Solon area has:
- Downtown Solon, Solon City Hall, Solon Community Center and Solon Public Library.
- More traffic volume.
- Flat topography.
- Grantwood Golf Course.
- Parkside Elementary School, Roxbury Elementary School, Orchard Middle School, Solon Middle School and Solon High School.

- Large power transmission lines and towers.
- Cuyahoga Regional Landfill off of Cochran Road and the closed BFI Glenwillow Landfill on Pettibone Road which continues towards Twinsburg.
Cuyahoga County Public Library Solon Branch
Someone I know had her automobile window broken into in the parking lot of Solon Public Library. At 5 PM!. Her purse was stolen. She was negligent in leaving her purse in a way that it was visible from outside her automobile. She was shocked by this incident and learned a bitter lesson.
According to hearsay, staff of Solon Pubic Library informed her that this sort of incident is not rare near the vicinity of Solon Public Library.
Solon Public Library has an excellent staff for Story Time for toddlers, such as David McNally and Danielle Parsons.

Solon Community Park
The unique feature of the Solon Community Park playground equipment is the blue and red colored safety surfacing to cushion falls and provide a hygienic area for the young ones. I think the surfacing is a poured rubber surfacing by Gametime of Alabama.
Parents and caregivers bring children of various ages to this Solon Community Park area. Occassionally, I have observed older children running on the equipment and this creates unsafe conditions for other and younger children.
City of Solon Ohio Council Chambers
Meetings of Solon City Council are broadcast by LPV Productions, with a set of remote controlled camera system purchased at an original approximate cost of $300,000.

Unlike some Northwest staff on some flights from Amsterdam to US, most KLM staff is professional and polite. I once asked a KLM flight attendant what he thought about Northwest Airlines staff, he smiled and said, “No comment”.
