The Speakman Company website indicates that this showerhead is probably used by Hilton, Wyndham, Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts, Radisson, Harrah’s, Showboat, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Hyatt and The Four Seasons. What I like most about this Speakman Anystream Showerhead Model S-2252-AF is that its needle jets are remarkably invigorating.

The needle jets remind me of the incredible rush of water on the Hurricane Deck of American Falls.  If you have never been to the Hurricane Deck below the American Falls (a part of Niagara Falls), you must, must plan on doing that atleast once in your life.  Or in other words, this should be on everyone’s bucket list. What I am not too happy about this showerhead is that it does not have a  water flow decrease valve for soaping.  I bought mine from Lowe’s for about 40 bucks including taxes.  I have had it for a short time so I cannot comment about its durability.  But this showerhead does have a high cost to benefit ratio.

I also bought a 8 jet luxury Speakman Company showerhead because it was on clearance.  This one has less invigorating spray jets.

The world famous Speakman Anystream self-cleaning showerhead was first patented on January 2, 1923.  Manufactured by craftsmen from solid brass materials, machined to thousands of an inch tolerances, highly polished by grinding and buffing specialist then finished with copper, nickel, and chromium plating was the tradition that has been carried on for decades.  The solid brass ball joint connection swivels smoothly to different positions to make the positioning of the shower streams quick and easy.  This fully adjustable showerhead features a side adjusting handle to allow the bather to set a desired spray from gentle rain, to invigorating needle, to full flood.  A new faceplate system was patented in April, 2002.  This new design dramatically transforms this showerhead into an excellent low flow showerhead that can deliver a strong forceful spray at any water pressure.  Speakman Engineers have selected an exclusive elastomer material called Santoprene, which can be molded to precision tolerances to allow the spray jet plunger to move in and out in order to achieve maximum sprays that feel heavy and forceful.  This new design has also solved a potential corrosion problem. The metallic surface has been removed which eliminates the chemical bond that causes corrosion.  The new faceplate has excellent chemical resistance.  The unique six plunger jets system was engineered to give a strong spray at high or low water pressure installations. In low-pressure installations just move the jets in to receive a strong full body coverage spray.  The opposite is true in high-pressure showers.  Made from deposit resisting materials, no pinholes to clog, and one just has to turn the handle to drain the showerhead of internal trapped water.  Product is equipped with a pressure compensating AUTOFLO device that is designed to deliver only the necessary volume of water regardless of water pressure and to limit flow to 2.5 gallons per minute maximum.
