 LAN does not have a valid IP configuration Dell Optiplex 380 with Windows 7 OS & Broadcom Netlink Gigabit 57780 Ethernet Chipset
- Click on the Start button at the bottom left corner.
- In the Search Box, type Device Manager and press Enter to open the Device Manager window.
- Click on Network Adapters.
- Make sure that the Broadcom Netlink Gigabit Ethernet Adapter is working properly. If the adapter is not working properly, you may see a yellow icon with a question mark.
- Go to the Start button again.
- In the Search Box, type View Network Connections and press Enter to open the Local Area Connection (LAN).
- Right Click on the Local Area Connection icon and click on Properties to open the Local Area Network Properties window.
- Click on Configure button to open Broadcom Netlink Ethernet Properties window.
- Click on the Driver tab.
- Note that the Broadcom Netlink Adapter Driver hasVersion 12.1.1.1 dated 6/20/2009. This driver should be updated.
- Click on Driver Details. Note that the driver, k57nd60x.sys, is located at at C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\k57nd60x.sys
- Go to Broad Ethernet NIC Driver Downloads and find the network driver for Windows 7 operating system.
- Download the network driver zip file to your computer.
- Unzip the downloaded file.
- Find the newer k57nd60x.sys driver, Version 14.1.0 dated 12/10/2009 from the downloaded files.
- Copy the driver file and paste it in the directory C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS.
- Restart the computer.
- Restart the modem by turning the power off and then on after 15 seconds.
Voila, you should be able to the connect to the internet now. The dudes  at Dell technical support informed me that I have to reinstall the operating system to ensure that there is no software conflict 
I hope this fix worked for you and you avoid paying a computer company for software troubleshooting. Cheers.

 Atahualpa Header Image When you download Atahualpa WordPress theme, it comes with three header images. One of the three images is shown above. The three images are 1300 pixels wide and 160 pixels in height and all are less than 45 kilobytes in size. These images are located in /public_html/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/header directory. If you prefer to use your own header images, simply upload any image of 1300 x 160 pixels size in /public_html/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/header directory.

In March, I wrote about Carlos Slim Helu on Stock Investments and Pier 1 Imports; at that time the stock price of Pier 1 Imports was about 15 cents. This stock price has risen to about $1.80, driven in part by insider buying worth over $2 million dollars by Greek Investments Inc. I didn’t buy the stock at that low price because I thought the company would file for bankruptcy. Greek Investments Inc. could have bought the stock at that low price but did not.
I am going to make a speculative buy of shares of a REIT that is involved with commercial real estate in Southern California, hold it for a year and see where it goes. The stock price is about 60 cents now.
 Public Art in Downtown Philadelphia-Near Reading Terminal Market I observed this public area near the famous Reading Terminal Market in downtown Philadelphia. The columns appear to take inspiration from Roman architecture. Notice the large sphere in the middle of the area.
City of Philadelphia downtown area is busy and lively during daylight hours. However, after work hours, the area become quickly deserted and if you are a pedestrian, you begin to feel unsafe. You will run into groups of people at street corners, people with unstable gait and you will probably prefer to stay away from them. Traffic is heavy and visitors to the City of Brotherly Love will have to adapt to the local motorists not yielding to pedestrians in the crosswalk. Visitors will also observe several younger and formally dressed men and women smoking. Finding street parking is difficult. Paid parking is not inexpensive. It costs approximately $28/day for valet parking near the Philadelphia Convention Center. Navigating through the downtown area is not difficult, the streets are parallel. Overall, the downtown Philadelphia is impressive.
I wanted to see the Liberty Bell but could not.
Philadelphia and Pittsburgh have similar features. Philadelphia is located at the confluence of two rivers, Pittsburgh at the confluence of three. Both cities have impressive downtowns.
 Hillcrest Hospital-A Cleveland Clinic Hospital We decided to visit a friend’s father who was admitted and had been undergoing treatment for several weeks at Cleveland Clinic for a serious illness.
We were driving on the four lane Carnegie Avenue on our way to Cleveland Clinic. We stopped at a traffic signal. There was one more car ahead of us at the traffic signal. A man started started crossing Euclid avenue. After crossing half of the street, he turned back and started walking towards the car in front of my automobile. I noticed the male driver of the car roll up his partially open window glass. He did not want to have anything to do with the approaching man. Now from observing the agitated man and the rolling up of the window glass, I realized that this was a potentially dangerous situation. I locked my automobile and started praying for the traffic signal to turn green. The man walked up to my automobile and repeatedly said, “Can I ask you a question?”. I pretended to be confused and chose not to roll down the window. After an enternity, the light turned green and I was relieved to be out of my nightmare on Carnegie Avenue and on my way Cleveland Clinic in my automobile instead of in an ambulance.
In 2009, there have been numerous media reports of murders within City of Cleveland. I am not going to venture into Cleveland, if I don’t have to.

Some WordPress themes come with the comments feature enabled on pages. WordPress theme, WP-Andreas09, is a good theme that has this feature enabled right out of the download file. Though its a good theme, I do not like it because its code templates are not easy to modify.
My Revolution WordPress theme came without the comments feature for the pages. I like this WordPress theme because its code templates are clean and easy to modify.
I found the code, posted by pramod, for enabling comments here and its pasted below.
Locate following code in page.php [template file]

In between these lines add following:
<?php comments_template(); ?>
I had to play around with the placement of the code, but it works fine for my theme.
