The best place to get passport photographs is the Costco warehouse.  US $4.99 plus tax will get any Costco warehouse member two passport photos in not more than 15 minutes.

The other day, I tried out an eyeglasses frame by Prada at an optical chain that was priced at almost $400; it wasn’t made of platinum.  It seems to me that there is a high markup (400% to 800% ) on several prescription eyeglasses frames at the optical chains.

A while back, I stumbled upon this jewelry business called ZulaSurfing Studios through an internet search.  I purchased a Om pendant made of dichroic glass from them.  ZulaSurfing Studios is run by Gil Tsafrir and Irena Tsafrir

Dichroic glass contains multiple micro-layers of metal oxides which give the glass dichroic optical properties. Dichroic glass was originally developed by NASA and its contractors for use in satellite optics and spacecraft visors.  Dichroism is the property possessed by some crystals of exhibiting two different colors when viewed along different axes.

The om pendant came with a leather cord.  I upgraded the leather necklace with a brushed sterling silver necklace.  I further upgraded this necklace using a source other than ZulaSurfing Studios.
